What to See at NRF 2019?

It’s almost like an annual celebration, isn’t it? Retail’s Big Show in January is like a retail year kickoff combined with ‘cheers’ to another close to the holiday buying season. And, this year’s show is going to be another exciting 3-day event. So here is a run-down and sneak peek on what to see at NRF 2019.

Powered by The Female Quotient, the Girl’s Lounge is a place where women connect, collaborate, and help activate change together. The lounge is on the exhibit hall 3 level. It is a forum to promote women empowerment in the industry – both retail and technology. The lounge will host speakers and panel discussions on various women related issues in retail, technology, and the workforce. At NRF the Girl’s Lounge will be open to retailers, NRF members, and the registered press.

Episerver, Microsoft and Resulticks sponsor this year’s event, promoting women in technology. Included among the female keynote speakers will be special guest Jessica Fardin, from Stockholm. Jessica is the Senior Vice President, Worldwide Marketing at Episerver. She will be discussing How Women Succeed in a Male-Dominated Industry. Definitely a must-attend presentation.

Cegid: The Retail Party 2019

You will know Cegid from their world-class POS (point of sales) systems. Their retail management systems are deployed around the world in 75 countries at over 1,000 retailers and brands. Cegid is listed in Gartner’s 2018 POS Market Guide as one of the industries most powerful POS systems. With US headquarters based in Carlsbad, California, Cegid will be actively engaged with Business France at this year’s show.

New to New York? Even if you are not when asked ‘what to see at NRF 2019’ the New World Trade Center is among them. In that regard, it will be exciting to do some networking and grab a cocktail with your host at 3 World Trade Center, 68th Floor. On an invitation-only basis, Cegid will host a cocktail and dinner party on Monday, January 14th to mingle, discuss the future of retail, and enjoy an hors-d’oeuvre. Bell and Howell: The Ultimate In-Store Pickup

While checking out the tradeshow, stop by to see the latest in automated in-store pickup technology. By now you have seen them at Walmart, and perhaps even at Canadian Tire. These are the latest developments in automated self-service, which customers love. Fast. Efficient. Impactful.

This year, Bell and Howell will feature the Cleveron 402 – the latest release from the makers of the PackRobot. Its modular design allows retailers to deploy a customized system that can hold anywhere from 350 up to 3,500 packages for customer pickup. What to See at NRF 2019?

There is no way we could cover it all in one post. This is a quick snapshot of a few exciting events that will be taking place at Retail’s Big Show this year.
